Newly opened and we are already OBSESSED! My teen girl can’t get enough, she thinks they have the best fries. Super friendly staff, quick service. It is tucked into a little shopping plaza, it was hard to find at first bc there was no signage, but I am sure it coming since it just opened. The only negative to it is the restaurant hours, we have never been able to take my husband or other kids because they are only open for breakfast and lunch, no dinner hours (as of now).

The Red Squirrel was a classic greasy-spoon diner-type spot. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here. I got the gravy stacker, which had a flavorful sausage gravy that wasn't packed with sausage, but still offered a great sausage flavor. I think the best part of this dish was the fried potatoes. They were abundant and crispy without being too greasy. My husband ordered a Western omelette and he raved about the eggs quantity and the way it married with the cheese. Overall, this was a typical diner-style breakfast. Food-wise, everything was great, but not wildly unique. Service-wise, this spot stood out. The servers were enthusiastic, kind and quick to help when they could. I would come back for the quality of service alone.

Is there anyway I can give more than five stars? Because this place is a real gem! The meat lovers omelette is a true show stopper. Fluffy eggs, delicious home fries, and perfect toast. The delicious food alone is reason enough to make this your only go-to spot in Harrison… but wait there’s more! The atmosphere truly adds to your experience. Clean, well decorated, and a genuinely friendly staff makes for an all around 5 star experience. You can tell that the staff is really what sets this restaurant apart from all others - the food is made with care and they sincerely care about your dining experience.Give the Red Squirrel a try and you will not be disappointed!

We stopped in to wait out the snow storm. The service was great, they kept our coffee topped off and frequently checked on us.The restaurant and bathroom was clean. This is nice little gem.The food was hot. The veggie omelet was good, the sausage gravy was meaty and delicious.Couple hours later we were pleasantly full and back on highway.

Definitely glad to see this place open after fairfield closed years ago. #25 Tuna with sliced egg is good as I remember. The omelet was good however the eggs are a little different, I suspect they are made with liquid egg beaters or something of that nature. Definitely coming back.

This place. THIS PLACE . My wonderful dad had to bury two of his younger brothers within a span of 4 months. They both battled cancer. My siblings and I took our dad out for breakfast and want to make it a tradition. We picked The Red Squirrel and it was an amazing decision. The servers are wonderful. The menu is full of great choices. The food is delicious and you're not waiting for forever. I think that tells you a lot about their chefs too. They know what they're doing. Of you wanna take a business partner, your date/sweetheart, or a family member out some where cute for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner that is affordable, and delicious, The Red Squirrel is the place I recommend. This place is kid friendly and if you have a family member who is wheelchair bound. This place is easy to access.I paid 12.99 for a huge Veggie omlette, loaded home fries, toast, and a coffee with refills.

Very friendly astomphere. I noticed great teamwork between coworkers. (The first time i went, i noticed a lil differently, seemed there may had been some animosity or something between a server and a younger server-which i almost didn't come back because of that.) This time seemed to flow much better. Staff was happy. Which made for great food and great service. Not to mention I got my order within 10 min!! Cant wait to go back!!

Food is good, haven't had anything bad here. Cook is awesome, friendly and always waves or says hi to us. It's a family owned restaurant, there is one in colerain avenue as well. Food is always fast, hot. Fresh and refills plentiful, servers are fantastic as well. Update: this place is still awesome, service is quick, cooks say hi each time we see them. Highly recommend.
